Position Summary: Looking to make a difference in clients' lives in an integrative setting as a Massage Therapist? Want to work in a clinic where you are surrounded by highly trained providers in a variety of disciplines? Northwestern Health Sciences University Bloomington Clinic is the place for you. We are in search of a highly trained and experienced Massage Therapist with additional advanced certification in craniosacral therapy or lymphatic drainage techniques. Our current group of providers as well as providers from the surrounding communities see and value in the massage therapy providers our clinic has and regularly refer patients to our providers. At NWHSU Bloomington Clinic we offer natural integrative health care treatment in one location for the entire family. If you are interested in being part of this team, please apply today. This is a part-time, benefits eligible opportunity starting at 22 hours per week with the opportunity of increasing to full-time at 32 hours per week. This position is paid a base hourly rate with the opportunity for additional incentive compensation. Work Location: Bloomington, MN in-person Duties: Manage client care with the approved policies and procedures of NWHSU clinic system and within clinical scope of practice Provide the highest quality care possible utilizing best practices and assist each patient to reach his or her goals while maintaining a strong provider/client relationship insuring client satisfaction Monitors client progress and ensures appropriate follow up care. Refer clients to internal or external healthcare professions as necessary and indicated by clinical findings Complete all necessary client documentation in accordance with University Quality Documentation Standards and Paperwork Timeline Policy using University EHR Be accessible and responsive to the client 's needs Manage equitable client load to meet individual , professional , and clinic revenue goals Participate in marketing activities that may include public speaking, community event activities, lectures and/or publish articles in a newspaper for purposes of increasing patient utilization of University clinics D evelop and maintain clinical expertise by staying current with best available scientific research and literature Attend and actively participate in monthly clinic team meetings as well as other trainings mandated by the University or your supervisor Serve and actively participate on university/program committees as needed or requested by supervisor. Mandatory attendance is required for the following in-services/seminars: HIPAA; coding and documentation; CPR; blood-borne pathogen, faculty development, integrative case studies and other educational seminars as requested by supervisor Comply with all Federal, state and local laws applicable to the practice of therapeutic massage Meets established massage therapy continuing education requirements Participate in data and quality audits as directed by Quality Assurance Committee policies. Maintaining acceptable overall ratings in performance reviews reviewed at the end of each trimester What you need to have? High school diploma and completion of a massage therapy certification program consisting of 900+ hours of training Ability to complete receive NCMTMB certification within six months of hire Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents specific to massage therapy and complementary, alternative, and integrative therapies Ability to respond effectively to inquiries regarding massage therapy from customers, members of the community, staff, and students Ability to develop and present original and innovative presentations on massage therapy to customers, members of the community, staff, and students Preferred: Associates degree in the area of massage therapy NCMTMB certification 2 years of experience in providing therapeutic massage in a clinical setting Advanced certifications in the area or craniosacral therapy or lymphatic drainage. For craniosacral therapy training: If training through Upledger Institute must have completed craniosacral therapy 1 and 2 and somatoemotional release 1 and 2 with preferred techniques level certification. If training through Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy must have completed 5 of 10 classes and be working towards certification. If training through Milne Institute must have completed classes thru cranial 5 For lymphatic drainage provider must have an advanced level training certification from a credible training institution Does this sound like the type of role you could excel in?
