Senior Mechanical Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to maintain and support our industry-leading products and systems. The ideal candidate is an inventive problem solver that is capable of working through technical challenges and employing pragmatic solutions. How are you successful in this role? Work closely with the entire team to develop concepts, strategies, construction documents and engineering reports. This includes conceptual design, construction documentation, commissioning, RFI's and submittals. Ability to provide turnkey leadership for small and large projects. Provide mentoring and guidance to the engineering team. Conduct annual performance appraisals. Interact with customers on energy efficiency options, cost benefit comparisons, and communicate results to assist owner in decision making process. Manage the engineering team's project financial performance and schedule. Participate in client and business development meetings. What are we looking for? Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a minimum of ten (10) years of experience required. D irect involvement in building infrastructure and/or energy reduction initiatives (consulting) experience required . HVAC Systems experience required. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Proficien cy with planning, scheduling and coordinating detailed phases of projects. CAD experience required. A New York Professional Engineering (PE) license is mandatory. Leadership skills essential.
