Draft Service Technician (DST) Position Description and Performance Requirements The position of Draft Service Technician ( DST) is a position whose role is to service draft equipment and assist in installations as assigned. This position must have a high skill level technically and have a working knowledge of the engineering of various beer systems.This position will work regularly at the client level, so the DST will be required to communicate all aspects of assigned installations, the statuses of projects (including route coverage), and the completion of service requests on an ongoing basis. Strong customer service skills are expected of this position.This position will report directly to the Market Manager and AMMs. Position Requirements Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Excellent Customer Service Skills Working knowledge of Draft Beer systems Ability to learn and retain product specific information and utilize the information to position the features and benefits to the customer Must be mechanically inclined Must have a working knowledge of open construction sites Be results-driven and self-motivated Internal employees must have an active Cicerone certification Position Responsibilities Assist in the installation of a Long Draw System that includes all necessary duties from pulling trunk line , to balancing the system , upon completion. Assist in completing Short Draw System installation such as through the wall set up or a Trunk Line that doesn't need a Glycol Unit . Must be able to assemble a Keg Box with different tap configurations Assist with Route coverage when needed including AM accounts and Venues. Carry out quarterly preventive maintenance (PM) contracts Help Install and Service Glycol Units Attend the necessary schools or facilities to become Micro Matic Certified if requested. Attend, as assigned, all other training deemed necessary by AHFP. Have strong technical skills Work with and provide training to multiple employees Maintain effective and professional working relationships with GM's, Sales Representatives, Draft Tech department personnel Effectively manage all equipment to include care and maintenance and inventory of assigned equipment and tools Manage the Draft Service Tech Vehicle in accordance to all AHFP policy To study and successfully complete the Level 1 Cicerone training within 90 days of employment. Candidates will be required to successfully complete KPI levels 1-4 and Level 1 of the Certified Installer program within the first 120 days of employment Education / Experience 3 years in related industries Strong experiences in Draft Beer Industry preferred Travel Travel may be required as a part of this position. Travel will encompass AHFP's regional footprint and is usually limited to weekdays. Tools and Equipment Used E-mail, copier, fax, phone, tape measure, and other standard office equipment. Working Hours Hours may vary and may require evening and weekend work depending on business needs Starting Salary Up to $18.00/hour, dependent on experience + Monthly and Quarterly bonus opportunities based on revenue generation.
