We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Hillingdon to assist with the appointment of a Direct Payments Officer, on a 3- month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration. Rate of Pay : £17.00 per hour PAYE Responsibilities: To visit service users in their homes and assist when financial difficulties arise from service user management of Direct Payment. Maintain knowledge of the current Team Plan and understanding of own contribution in order to ensure delivery of this plan. To demonstrate cost-consciousness and identify any cost effective changes to own way of working. To identify and suggest any improvements to current ways of working in order to deliver a more efficient and effective service for customers To take a lead role with the Voluntary Sector partners to improve and update Direct Payments service provision. To attend team meetings and offer induction/ training to all social work and SEND staff Qualifications: Educated to GCSE level or equivalent experience Required Experiences: Some experience of working in Social Services, voluntary sector or Health. Experience of managing accounts and working out care costs Experience of using service specific ICT systems Experience of working in a front line service as part of a team to deliver a high quality service to residents Experience of undertaking a range of Direct Payment support functions Please note: You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
