The Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Accountant / Accounts Technician to join their team. This role offers exposure to a bustling accounting function within a thriving business. Responsibilities encompass supplier data processing, financial analysis, bank reconciliations, and more. Duties: Process supplier data, manage purchase orders, and handle invoicing. Correspond with suppliers and maintain accurate company databases. Analyse financial data and contribute to VAT return calculations. Conduct bank reconciliations and maintain meticulous records. Assist in continuous improvement projects within the finance department. Requirements: Previous experience working as an Assistant Accountant, Accounts Technician, Finance Assistant or in a similar role. Demonstrated experience in accounting functions. Expertise in overseeing project expenses, calculating VAT, and managing accounts payable and receivable records. Ability to install, update, and maintain computerised accounting systems efficiently. Skilled in processing supplier data, including purchase orders to invoicing, and maintaining accurate creditor and debtor ledgers. Experience in preparing invoices for approval and ensuring accurate financial records.
