Intermediate/Senior GIS Analyst –All locations THE OPPORTUNITY Triton Environmental Consultants Ltd. (Triton) has immediate opportunities for one or more intermediate to senior GIS analysts to support an exciting suite of environmental consulting projects. Triton is an environmental consulting firm with 30 years of experience responding to the environmental needs of resource developers across all sectors, as well as all levels of government. Our clients look to us to provide a wide range of scientific, technical, and management expertise that merge to provide practical environmental solutions. Our multi-disciplinary team comprises environmental professionals specializing in aquatic and terrestrial biology, soil science, vegetation ecology, environmental backssment, environmental auditing, environmental monitoring/inspection, and resource management. We are looking for intermediate to senior GIS analysts to be part of those multi-disciplinary teams with demonstrated experience in: Arc GIS (Enterprise, Pro, Online, Field Maps) Survey 123 Online webmap creation Geodatabase creation from spatial and non-spatial data Spatial and attribute editing Digitizing, georeferencing, GIS product design, map creation Data conversion THE ROLE Reporting to the GIS Manager, GIS Analysts support project teams and are responsible for preparing high quality GIS products. Additionally, analysts may be responsible for compiling geographic data from a variety of sources including field observations, satellite imagery, aerial photographs, and existing maps. They also analyze spatial data for geographic statistics to incorporate into documents and reports, assist with proposals and project reports, analyze geographic relationships among varying types of data. Prepares metadata and other documentation. This position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
