Would you enjoy field work in the Kananaskis Valley and Canmore area? Are you looking to work in a skilled, diverse, and motivated team? If yes, then this opportunity is for you! We are currently looking for a Dam Safety Surveillance Intern to join our Dam Safety team. This role is a temporary 12 to 16-month student position. Based out of our Calgary Head Office, you will support the Dam Safety team with issues related to hydro structures across Alberta, British Columbia, and Ontario. As part of this role, you will get the opportunity to travel to various hydro sites, as required (up to 20%). The role gives you experience in our dams and civil structures, geotechnical instrumentation monitoring system, and risk reduction program. The expected start date for this position is early May 2024. WHAT YOU WILL DO Our Dam Safety Surveillance Intern will assist our team of engineers with the following: Geotechnical instrumentation auditing Dam safety engineering inspections Public safety program control and backssment Vegetation control and dive inspection programs Construction project planning and execution WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU.
