We are looking to recruit a solicitor associate counsel with a background in corporate law, commercial law, and/or real estate law who has been practicing law in BC for at least three (3) years. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who has some basis for an existing practice, but with the understanding that they would receive referral work and some practice support from the lawyers with our firm. The Associate Counsel role is premised on a management fee basis, where the lawyer can run their own independent practice with all of our firm's resources and offerings some of which are as follows: • Regular mentorship and support from Lawyers at our firm• Reasonable use of legal support staff• Office workstation and adjustable office chair• Direct line, telephone, fax, internet access, and Wi-Fi• Remote access to files and e-mail upon request• Use of photocopier, scanner, and printer• General office supplies and stationery• Use of boardroom, kitchen, and any building amenities• Website profile and business cards• Lenovo computer with two monitors and ongoing IT support paid for by the firm• Access to accounts for BC Online, LTSA, ESI Law, e Convey, and other software platforms• Marketing Budget (in flux and dependent on projected billings)• Firm Presence and an Infrastructure for you to run your practice Responsibilities: • Be responsible for following up on referrals on a prompt basis• Eager to seek out and capture new business• Ability to work independently• Be comfortable working in a team environment• Ability to work closely with legal support staff• Have fun with colleagues at the office Qualifications: • Member of the Law Society of British Columbia for a minimum of three (3) years Compensation: $100,000 - $150,000 yearly About Company: Logica Law is a beautiful modern law office located on the Yaletown side of False Creek.
