Xello is looking for a QA Automation Engineer (Contract) __ Who are you? We are looking for an independent contractor for a project ending in June 2024. As a QA Automation Engineer (Contract Role), you play a pivotal role in upholding quality standards. Your primary goal is to optimize QA processes, prevent regression, and uphold the highest quality standards through automation. You have a keen interest in staying abreast of the latest technology trends and eagerly apply best practices within a contemporary software environment. Your contribution will assist Xello in providing a seamless, high-quality experience that delights users. In this role within Xello's agile development team, you will collaborate with external clients, internal stakeholders, and even students. With a strong emphasis on testing each use case and a proactive approach to investigating issues, you will actively contribute to the creation of engaging and innovative products for the education market. Your efforts will ensure the relevance and value of our solutions to our 5+ million users. Additionally, you will be an integral part of fostering Xello's culture of innovation, excellence, and accountability. What you’ll do… Develop, write, and execute test plans and test cases based on product requirements and established QA policies/procedures Contribute to writing Automated Tests in parallel with feature developments Conduct research to effectively verify bugs in the product area under test Build functional automated tests for single-page applications (SPAs) Assist in managing product builds and deployments Write simple queries in SQL to retrieve data Review test documentation to ensure appropriate test coverage, including any customer-specific required testing Collaborate with product owners, development, and design teams to better understand requirements,.
