Service Engineer, Crane Engineer, HGV Mechanic, Technician, Engineer, LOLER, Crane Mechanic, Crane Lorry Loading Crane Engineer Location: Haydock, Merseyside Salary: Very Competitive DOE + Excellent Benefits Full - Time, Permanent, Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:30pm 45 Hours The Client: Our client is a leading specialist vehicle supplier in the UK, providing fitting, servicing, and repairs for cranes from renowned manufacturers. The Role: As a Lorry Loading Crane Engineer, you will be reporting to Crane Department Management, ensuring all operations comply with Health and Safety, Quality, Environmental, and Best Practices Policies. Responsibilities: Perform maintenance on cranes, ensuring the longevity of the equipment through preventative maintenance and servicing. Minimise avoidable costs by achieving a high first-time fix rate. Provide advice to the group/site on crane-related matters and lifting operations. Reduce crane breakdowns through preventative maintenance on component items. Conduct fault diagnosis and root cause analysis on components after failure. Complete Risk backssment/Method Statements and Point of Work Risk backssments. Collect crane performance data and submit monthly reports to the manager for all sites. Utilise continuous improvement and problem-solving techniques to optimise crane availability, reliability, and performance. Requirements: Previously worked as a Crane Engineer or in a similar role. Minimum of 5 years of experience of maintaining, servicing, and repairing various pieces of crane and lifting equipment. Demonstrated experience in crane engineering and service within the commercial vehicle sector. Ideally have ALLMI Certification for conducting LOLER testing. Proficient knowledge and understanding of LOLER regulations. Capability to perform and oversee loader testing. NVQ Level 3 and experience working on the equipment.
