We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Camden to assist with the appointment of a Media and External Relations Officer , on a 3-month contract , highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Responsibilities: Excellent press officer with experience of politically led organisations required Requirements: The post holder will be responsible for the successful delivery of the Councils proactive and reactive media relations operation, as well as supporting key campaigns. Delivering a 24/7 digital media cycle the post holder will be responsible for providing strategic advice to senior managers and Cabinet members and forming strong relationships with the media. The post holder will work directly with the Media Manager, taking on responsibility for specific areas to promote the Council in the media and manage reputation on issues and projects across a range Councils service, campaigns and public affairs activity. Supporting a 24/7 digital media cycle, the post holder will be responsible for providing media advice to senior managers and Cabinet members and forming strong relationships with the media. The post holder will contribute to the editorial content of Camdens comms publications, social media and digital channels.
