JOB OVERVIEW Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for a skilled and experienced Mechanical Technician/Technologist to join our team at our Niagara Work Center, in Niagara ON. This is an exciting opportunity to work in an environment where you will contribute to OPG’s public outreach, engagement, and education efforts as part of the company’s commitment to growing its social license. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Install, commission, inspect, troubleshoot, service, maintain and overhaul all mechanical equipment and components associated with generating stations and facilities. Take appropriate preventative or corrective action. Maintain and operate precision machines, test equipment and shop tools required to carry out work assignments, including the fabrication of components and the use of specialized tooling. Carry out equipment noise, balancing and vibration measurements for maintenance of stationary and rotating equipment, and testing of mechanical equipment to ASME code standards and procedures.
