An opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to join a global leader in the Power Transmission Industry. Our client has already engaged in the delivery of a wide range of high-profile projects and on the back of this they have recently been awarded another major contract and thus require a Mechanical Engineer to join their team. The client has numerous Assembly and Service Centres in the UK and strategically located operations all over the World. Our client has already engaged in the delivery of a wide range of high-profile projects and on the back of this they have recently been awarded another major contract and thus require a Mechanical Engineer to join their team. The client has numerous Assembly and Service Centres in the UK and strategically located operations all over the World. DUTIES included for the role of Mechanical Engineer : Strip and inspect industrial gearboxes and record the condition of component parts. Collate details and produce a concise structured report. When appropriate liaise with colleagues on technical aspects of the job to identify failure modes and potential improvements. Mechanical fitting: building up assemblies adjusting limits and fits to achieve a functional unit. Liaison with customers in respect of technical issues e. g. failure modes and product commissioning/ de-commissioning. KEEN to speak to Mechanical Engineer who are : Apprentice Trained Engineers – City and Guilds /NVQ’s – must have. Excellent understanding of mechanical systems. Workshop based experience. Heavy Industry background. Able to use measurement equipment, test /record data , safe use of lifting equipment. THE Offer for the role of Mechanical Engineer : Salary £35,000 - £40,000 per annum.
