Position Overview You’re a passionate advocate for safety and understand how to plan maintenance work effectively to ensure the reliable operation of both Electric and Gas assets. Your top-notch strategic thinking and leadership skills help you to identify and prioritize risks as you build out maintenance strategies, and you’re always analyzing processes and to find opportunities to streamline your work, while leading our Maintenance Planning team. We want someone like you to join as our Maintenance Planning Manager. In this role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining the safe and reliable operation and maintenance of Fortis BC’s Electric and Gas assets. In year 1, you will: Gain familiarity with our Gas and Electric assets and build experience supporting day-to-day operations. Work with your team and other internal groups (Operations, Asset Management, Engineering and others) to establish priorities for improvement with respect to the various types of maintenance for Gas and Electric assets. Work with your team and other internal groups (Operations, Asset Management, Engineering and others) to develop 5-year maintenance plans (including spare parts) both Electric & Gas side, and you will plan to implement those plans.
