Job Purpose The occupational health and safety officer is responsible to review, evaluate and monitor health and safety hazards and develop strategies to prevent, control and eliminate accidents and occupational injuries for both Rise Air and Snowbird Aviation Services employees. The officer will inspect workplace environments, equipment and practices to ensure compliance with organizational and government environments, and health and safety standards and regulations. Primary Responsibilities Act as the management co-chair for both Rise Air and Snowbird Aviation Services occupational health and safety committees, maintain minutes and follow up on corrective action plans. Develop and implement aviation and organizational health and safety programs, including standard operating procedures, policies and training to mitigate risk, optimize worker's health and safety and foster a positive occupational health and safety culture. Enforce aviation and organizational Occupational Health and Safety Act Regulations by issuing workplace directives and stop work orders.
