About the role Reporting to the Geotechnical Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the design of plans and specifications for backfilling underground workings. He/she provides paste backfill planning that respects the monthly plan and guarantees the quality of the backfill for future mining activities. He/she also carries out field follow-ups, compiles data and participates in decision-making. Essential Duties Produce weekly paste backfill schedules Plan and produce paste backfill instructions and recipes for each job site Design and revise all plans and specifications related to backfill (paste and rock) Participate in medium- and long-term planning for the deployment of the underground paste backfill network Provide paste backfill piping installation plans to the Mining Operations Department Carry out quality control field visits of paste backfill barricade construction Participate in various studies and optimization projects Work in close collaboration with the mining operations, ore processing plant, mine planning and all other technical departments. Respect, know and promote the company's regulations and policies, particularly in terms of health and safety.
