Job Description – Geostructural (Shoring) CAD Drafter (Hybrid) Safe Roads Engineering (SRE) strives to provide clients with services and products that are among the best in the industry. We specialize in design engineering; precast concrete structures, overhead sign structures, modular bridges, noise walls, and traffic management plans as well as shoring design and geostructural solutions. SRE is looking to add a Geostructural (Shoring) CAD Drafter to work out of our Aurora office with work from home abilities. Working alongside our existing engineering team and other divisions within the Group. Main Responsibilities Drafting for support of excavations (SOE) and geostructural design including residential shoring, roadway/tracks protection systems, cofferdams etc. Ability to independently extract information from structural, civil, SUE and architectural drawings Good understanding of the concepts of heavy civil construction Work independently with minimum supervision Familiar with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Teams Qualifications Experience in other infrastructure disciplines drafting (bridges, culverts, road design) is considered an asset Familiar with Civil3D, Micro Station, Revit, and automation in Auto CAD is considered an asset 3D Modelling and structural detailing is considered an asset Previous field experience in construction industry is considered an asset Shoring design is considered an asset Safe Roads Engineering encompasses a diverse collection of successful businesses, but our spirit isn’t found in the diversity of our portfolio, it’s found in the diversity of our people.
