I need your help with candidate referrals, due to sales growth a leading multi-billion dollar food manufacturing company (largest in their fast growing category) is conducting a confidential search for Maintenance Manager with Engineering experience due to future expansion! Position is based in low cost of living area of South Carolina (plant has grown to currently 1200 employees) with salary +/-$163k plus 20% bonus for total compensation of +/- $190k (bonus has paid out at full 20% every year including during covid) also includes relocation and competitive benefit package. Their products can be found in Walmart, Safeway, Costco, Albertsons and Kroger. Primary responsibility would assist in the developing, implementing, all plant maintenance programs and capital projects. Must be familiar with OSHA regulations and government requirements. Bachelor s degree, prior current experience from food, beverage or consumer products manufacturing companies would be a plus. RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain an effective preventative maintenance schedule; and control mechanical inventories. Encourage good work habits and promote safety. Assist in identifying, developing and implementing maintenance programs or special projects that will result in achieving or exceeding established labor goals by recommending new methods, layouts and/or equipment changes. Assist in the planning, developing and implementing of an effective preventative maintenance program in all production departments to minimize downtime and costs. Control mechanical expenses within established budget and actively pursue cost reduction opportunities in labor, material cost and inventory balance of spare parts. Establish and clearly communicate realistic job requirements for subordinates; provide frequent feedback and review on performance and accurately appraise performance results against communicated expectation. Provide timely and accurate performance information on all aspects of the operations at the plant within area of responsibility to include an explanation of all variances and actions you plan to take to correct the situation. Contributes input into the development of specific short-term and long-term plans and programs. Reviews and makes recommendations on cost control, cost estimates, and manpower and facilities requirements forecasts. Supervises workers engaged in installing, servicing, and repairing mechanical equipment. Supervises employees who maintain, repair and service plant equipment, buildings, and facilities. Utilizes working knowledge of electrical systems, both control and industrial wiring, pip fitting, plumbing, welding, shop machinery, sheet metal, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical controls and instrumentation to maintain plant equipment at optimal level. Inspects completed work for conformance to blueprints, specifications, and standards. Interprets company policy to employees and enforces company policy and practices. Works on projects involving the construction of new buildings and facilities and the alteration or modification of existing ones. Maintains production equipment in a manner that meets organization standards and ensures minimum equipment downtime. Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies. 90 minute car ride to beautiful Myrtle Beach, S.C.
