Job Title: Unarmed Security Guard Location: Charleston, SC 29401 Duties: The security watch standers shall provide hourly security rounds, inspecting all spaces of the ship (excluding staterooms). Security rounds and all unusual events shall be noted in the vessels security watch stander’s log. The security watch standers are required to contact the designated OOD, duty engineer or CO if any unusual events occur. In the case of an emergency, the security watch stander will be able to sound the ship’s alarm and operate the Public Announcement system. When not making rounds, the security watch stander will be present in the plot room, or in a secondary prescribed location and be alert to their surroundings. The security watch stander shall monitor all individuals requesting access to the ship by checking Government or other picture identification and deny access to individuals without proper identification. Education & Qualifications: High School Diploma Proven experience as Security . Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety Familiarity with report writing. Excellent surveillance and observation skills Tech-savvy with experience in surveillance systems Powered by JazzHR
