POSITION SUMMARY Maintains and repairs the facility’s structure, equipment and grounds, including plumbing, electrical and HVAC. Performs skilled trades work, such as carpentry or painting in the construction, repair or alteration of structures such as walls, roofs or office fixtures. Works on assignments that are moderately difficult and normally receives little instruction on daily work and general instruction on new assignments. PRINCIPAL RESPONISIBLITIES Maintains, repairs and installs the following as necessary;1. Electrical systems, including lighting, circuits and equipment2. Water supply, drains, pipes and appliances3. Pneumatic air supply, including air compressor4. Walls, partitions, floors, ceilings and fixtures(including painting)5. Facilities equipment such as trash compactor and baling machine6. Material handling equipment, such as lift trucks and racking7. Office furniture and office partition systems8. Performs other duties as assigned. MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience 2 years of HVAC systems experience Ability to perform pipe fitting work on water, gas and pneumatic systems Ability to locate and install new plant equipment, including all electrical, pipe fitting, rigging and millwright work Ability to use power tools and hand tools to perform carpentry and other types of woodwork as well as mechanical installations Ability to troubleshoot equipment using diagrams and blueprints and repair electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic mechanical systems Ability to work independently on projects
