The Associate Director of Assessment for TILT will work with TILT's Assessment Team and Directors to build capacity across TILT for designing, conducting, and using findings from meaningful program assessments. Further, the successful candidate will work with the Director of Learning Programs/Academic Affairs to coordinate peer education and learning programs in the Institute for Learning and Teaching (TILT). The person in this role will bring strong expertise in quantitative methods and in design and implementation of quantitative and mixed methods assessments.The Associate Director of Assessment will work with TILT's Assessment Team to support all TILT teams in designing effective program assessments; collecting, managing, and analyzing assessment data; and using assessment findings to add, improve, and sunset programs. Working with the Assessment Team, the candidate will develop materials, trainings, and other resources to help TILT colleagues acquire the knowledge, skills, and expertise needed to design and implement meaningful program assessments and to use the results of these assessments to improve TILT's suite of offerings.The successful candidate will also be familiar with the current state of knowledge regarding learning and teaching in higher education and regarding assessment of educational programs; have a strong understanding of undergraduate students and their academic and learning needs, as well as of designing effective program assessments; be knowledgeable about peer academic programs, student development theories, and assessment theory, methods, design, and data analysis; and possess strong communication, administrative, assessment design, and data analysis skills.The successful candidate will collaborate on the development, expansion, and improvement of TILT's campus-wide tutoring, supplemental instruction, and other peer education efforts, managing work with campus partners including faculty, academic departments and colleges, and will participate in learning and teaching projects with various partners. Key campus partners include CSU's first-year Learning Communities, Student Diversity and Program Services, Community for Excellence, Student Athletics Support Services, and the Academic Advancement Center.CSU is an EO/EA/AA employer and conducts background checks on all final candidates.Required Job Qualifications:* Master's degree in educational assessment, student affairs, higher education leadership, adult training, counseling, social work, or other relevant fields.* Graduate level coursework and/or experience in designing and implementing assessments of educational programs, analyzing assessment data, and using these data to improve, add, and/or sunset programs. (Ideally, one year's experience plus coursework, or two or more years' experience.)* Expertise in quantitative methods and in design and implementation of quantitative and mixed methods assessments.* Coursework and/or professional or student experience supporting student learning, ideally in higher education or through peer education support programs, or related field.* Demonstrated experience, knowledge, and ability in working with culturally diverse student groups among potential target and constituent populations.* Must be available to work on occasional evenings and weekends.Preferred Job Qualifications:* Ability and interest in using relevant research to inform and ground programs and program assessment designs. * Experience using assessment findings to improve educational programs. * Experience designing assessments that center equity. * Expertise in facilitating colleagues' design and implementation of program assessments and colleagues' interpretation and use of assessment data for program improvement. * Experience leading teams. * Experience supervising full-time staff. * Demonstrated teaching, facilitation, training, or presentation skills. * Experience working with students at the postsecondary level, including supervision, coaching, and/or training of student staff. * Ability to address challenges related to college student development theory. * Demonstrated ability to contribute substantively to a collaborative, team-based culture, both in TILT and with CSU partners. * Ability to work effectively with college students, faculty, staff, and administrators. * Ability to manage multiple projects, develop programs, and carry out related administrative responsibilities in support of unit and institutional priorities. recblid pc5z79h4crgsz07jszhrv7hzvx6bmv Master's Degree
