LICENSED DOCTOR OF OPTOMETRY - FLORIDA STATE LICENSED Family optical looking for a Part-time Doctor of Optometry with strong diagnostic skills, delivering patient-centered primary eye care for our office located in Winter Park, FL . We are proud to be part of helping the Central Florida area with their eye care needs for the past 20 years. We understand that good people can make the difference. This role allows you to see patients with a wide variety of pathology and refractive needs. Experienced ODs and New Grads welcome. You will enjoy the support of a full team of trained optical staff members - including trained optometric technicians, licensed opticians, contact lens technicians, front office staff, and operations support team including a General Manager. Job Responsibilities Document history including complaint and relevant symptoms, ocular health, medication usage, medical and family history, current vision aide if applicable, and any other pertinent data. Examine eyes using observation, pharmaceutical agents and instruments to determine visual perception, acuity, coordination and focus. Tests may include subjective refraction, retinoscopy, lensometry, slit lamp examination, visual fields, pupil and mobility testing, gonioscopy, and tear function testing. Based on the exam, diagnose diseases and anomalies such as color blindness or glaucoma. Clearly document diagnosis and treatment plan, including referrals, therapeutic prescriptions and long-term medical management, in patients' charts. Prescribe and fit vision aides such as contact lenses and eyeglasses. Required: Doctor of Optometry (OD) Degree Florida State Optometric License Per diem rate: $700 per day Part-Time: 1 or 2 days per week Job Posted by ApplicantPro
