Twin Cities' based, Olsen Thielen & Co., Ltd., a progressive 100+ year-old company with offices in Roseville and Eden Prairie, MN is currently seeking a senior Audit Associate to join our team. If you are ready to advance your career and join an incredible team, this opportunity is perfect for you!Essential Functions: Acts as in-charge and/or assists on audit, review, and compilation engagements, including providing feedback, reviewing workpapers and financial statements; provides work direction and prepares performance evaluations of staff on engagements. Prepares projections and completes other complex accounting special projects, conducts r esearch as required and forms conclusions to be reviewed by appropriate team members (e.g. Principal, Manager, Associates). Manages engagement to meet deliverable deadlines; identifies roadblocks and understands critical milestones to meet client service expectations. Possesses an understanding of the client's business and industry (e.g. competitors, trends and key customers); recognizes, anticipates and resolves client issues and makes recommendations Delegates properly based on risk, engagement status, and staff development opportunities, ensuring that team members have the growth opportunities to advance to the next level. Knowledgeable on Olsen Thielen's service offerings and markets the firm's services to existing and prospective clients. Meets productivity and efficiency standards (billable hours). Job Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting with appropriate GPA. 3-plus years of accounting experience. CPA certification. Experience and skills in coaching, mentoring, and providing work direction to staff. Well-rounded knowledge of accounting standards. Solid, working knowledge of audit software programs (Pro Systems fx Engagement, Microsoft Office). Excellent communication (oral and written) skills. Excellent problem-solving, analytical abilities to identify exceptions Demonstrated marketing, business development skills Well-rounded knowledge of accounting standards.
