A leading Charleston hospitality group is seeking an Accounts Payable and Receivable Specialist to be responsible for daily accounting tasks while also contributing to the growth and development of the accounting department. Job Duties Process invoices by verifying vendor statements; scheduling and preparing disbursements and obtaining authorizations for payment. Manage inter-company accounting transactions between six entities Daily revenue and bank reconciliations Resolves general ledger account discrepancies by investigating all supporting documentation for inaccuracies or imbalances Maintains financial historical records by filing accounting documents. Assist in the improvement of internal accounting processes and policies Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Provides administrative support to company controller Qualifications 3 years AP/AR experience required preferably within the hospitality industry Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (associates degree or bookkeeping certificate acceptable when combined with relevant experience) Must have a working knowledge of spreadsheet maintenance and development including advance Excel skills such as writing formulas, creating and manipulating macros and utilizing pivot tables Experience with Sage 300, Toast and PMS software a plus Strong organization skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks Maintain strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters Able to work both independently and with supervision Benefits include a competitive salary; medical, dental and vision and supplemental insurance after 60 days; PTO after 6 months; free parking and discounts on hotel accomodations.
