Job Summary: The Human Resources Recruiter will be responsible for performing Human Resources-related duties on a professional level. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas; recruiting employees through day one for new hires, taking approved replacements, and approved new positions through the recruitment process. Onboarding day-to-day handling of confidential employee files, heavy data entry, filing, and screening phone calls. Recruiting/Staffing/Onboarding: 70% Works with hiring managers to assist with filling vacancies in an efficient, effective, and timely manner in compliance with federal, state and local employment regulations. Provides excellent customer service and technical guidance to hiring managers regarding the recruiting portal when necessary. In addition, this includes any EEO reporting requirements. Screening of applicants in the recruiting portal to determine minimum qualifications requirements have been met. Responsible for notification to candidates of eligibility/ineligibility and places qualified applicants on an eligible list for the committee. Responsible for organizing recruiting days and any recruiting/staffing related open house events for the University. Examples of such events include job fairs and other employment related events. W ill research and participate in any/all statewide and out of state employment fairs deemed relevant. s. Responsible for providing candidate experience, skills, and educational credentials to determine the appropriate salary for the vacancy. Once salary is determined, the Human Resource Recruiter is responsible for initiating employment verifications, communication to the hiring supervisor for the verbal employment offer and is responsible for the final written offer of employment in a timely manner consistent with Coker University requirements. Upon hire the Human Resources Recruiter is responsible for initiating the onboarding process which includes all intake meetings and all necessary paperwork for entry into the HRIS system. This includes any processing forms for new hires and status changes or updates in the HRIS, in addition ensuring a signed job description is executed at the time of hire. Payroll & Benefits: 20% Assist with verifying routine payroll-related reports on a pay-period basis. Audits leave reports and provides necessary staff with employee leave balances. Manages new employee benefit enrollments and ensures completion of appropriate new hire benefits documentation in addition to documentation for benefit changes for all employees. Process and maintain all status reports and deduction changes. Administrative Support: 10% Managing employee personnel records and ensuring HR personnel files are complete and all required employment documentation is received, updated, and maintained in compliance with federal, state, and local laws and Coker University requirements. (While not an inclusive list some examples of required forms include I-9 documents, tax forms, enrollment forms, transcripts, and other required employment documentation). Qualifications: A bachelor's degree or 4 years of related experience or a combination of education, training, and experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office products and working in a Google Workplace. Experience with applicant tracking software Ability to work independently and complete work with minimal supervision.
