Summary Description Drivers should be courteous and friendly and be able to deliver excellent customer service. Drivers are responsible for pre-inspection check on all vehicles driving; making sure all wheelchairs or any other devices are tied down properly; drive clients to and from destinations in a safe manner; must be able to communicate with clients, dispatchers, and supervisors regarding concerns and/or issues. Key Tasks and Responsibilities Drivers are responsible for pre-inspection check on all vehicles driving; making sure all wheelchairs or any other devices are tied down properly; drive clients to and from destinations in a safe manner; must be able to communicate with clients, dispatchers, and supervisors regarding concerns and/or issues. Education & Training High school graduate or GED equivalent is preferred but not required. Valid driver's license, commercial driver's license Class B with passenger endorsement . Valid CPR/First Aid card is preferred but not required. Knowledge and Experience Experienced driving corporate clients and paratransit vehicles are a plus. Must have a driver's license for at least five (5) years. No more than one (1) moving violation or one (1) at fault accident in the last three (3) years. Applicants must be familiar with using cellular phones, and navigating around areas using a GPS. Core Competencies Ideal candidates should be self-motivated and responsible, have good communication skills, positive attitude and willing to go the extra mile. Working Conditions Drivers must be able to work in a fast pace environment. Driver must be able to assist clients transferring from wheelchair to chair and vice versa. Work schedule hours will vary Monday-Friday and include occasional Saturdays. Driver must be able to work extra hours and on weekends as needed. Physical Requirements Must be able lift 100lbs, capable of sitting for long periods of time. Candidates must have a minimum 1 year clearance for DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.
