To learn more about our culture and other career opportunities, visit Proservice.com/career Role Overview The purpose of the Handbook Consultant is to ensure that the company's and clients' employee handbooks, addendums, PTO and other policy requests (collectively referred to as "handbook requests") are reviewed, assigned, and completed in a timely, efficient & accurate manner. The consultant must keep up-to-date with HR regulatory compliance changes and share knowledge with clients and team members and must also not only meet but exceed all client needs/requests in a timely manner. Responsibilities: Efficiently assess, prioritize and complete incoming handbook requests. Manage/improve handbook process to ensure timely & accurate completion of handbook requests. Provide excellent customer service and respond to client inquiries. Identify and take ownership of software solutions to enable significant scaling of service capacity while preserving high service standards and ensuring proper compliance. Requirements & Qualifications: Experience: 1-5+ years of experience working in HR or labor and employment law. Prior experience working with varying levels of leadership within an organization (C-suite, Small Business Owners, Front Line Supervisors, etc.) is required. Certifications including SPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP are a plus. Client Focus - Meets internal and external client needs in ways that provide satisfaction and excellent results for the customer. Establishes "partner" relationships with clients. Regarded as visible and accessible by clients. Regularly monitors client satisfaction. Verbal Communication - Communicates effectively one to one, in small groups, and in public speaking contexts. Demonstrates fluency and "quickness on one's feet," clarity of organization of thought processes, and command of the language. Easily articulates vision and standards. Keeps people informed. Written Communication - Writes clear, precise, well-organized emails, memos, letters, and proposals while using appropriate vocabulary, grammar, and word usage, and creating the appropriate "tone. Judgment/Decision Making - Demonstrates consistent logic, rationality, and objectivity in decision-making. Achieves balance between quick decisiveness and slower more thorough approaches, i.e., is neither indecisive nor a quick judge. Shows common sense. Anticipates consequences of decisions. Analysis Skills - Identifies significant problems and opportunities. Analyzes problems in depth. Relates and compares data from different sources. Able to determine root causes and subtle relationships among data from various sources. Exhibits a probing mind. Achieves penetrating insights. Intelligence Skills - Demonstrates ability to acquire understanding and absorb new information rapidly. A "Quick Study." This competency reflects neither motivation to learn nor willingness to accept change; rather it reflects the intellectual capacity that, when combined with motivation, results in learning. Integrity - Does not ethically cut corners. Remains consistent in terms of what one says and does and in terms of behavior towards others. Earns trust of coworkers. Maintains confidence.
