**Candidates Must reside in GA, FL or PA. Overview: As a Human Resources Business Partner , you will be a functional BP for the APCO employee population. You will assist our Human Resources department in executing HR programs, aligning HR strategies with business strategies, streamlining and standardiz ing HR policies and practices, and help ing develop the HR organization to be more effective in managing human capital. Th is role will build strong relationships with all work partners across the HR organization, as well as employees and leaders . You will be responsible for employee relations, operational excellence, training , as well as providing day-to-day support as needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide counsel and guidance to managers and employees regarding company policies, procedures, and employment law . Coach, counsel, and guide managers before the execution of employee disciplinary actions . Conduct internal investigations and prepare all required documentation in accordance with internal policies as well as applicable law . Own assigned Human Resource processes from start to finish, including administration of process-specific Human Resources technology. Liaison with other Human Resources functions to provide a best-in-class experience for employees and managers . Ensure that all employee matters are handled with consistency, fairness and in alignment with the "I am APCO" culture. Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance. Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in Human Resources, talent management, and employment law. Continuously pulse employees through individual conversations, and surveys including new hire and exit interviews. Escalate concerns as appropriate . May support additional projects as assigned. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related combination of education and experience. 3-5 years of Human Resources experience in a comparable HR role (employee relations focused) . Ability to work in a fast paced, ever changing Human Resources environment . Collaborative team player with demonstrated professional and emotional maturity and judgment to handle sensitive situations with integrity, diplomacy, tact, and high ethical standards. Excellent customer service skills and demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with clients at all levels of the organization. Proven ability to influence without direct authority. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Demonstrated creative problem solving. Action oriented and demonstrates strong initiative. Agile and adaptable with a growth mindset. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and HRIS systems. Skills: Possess coaching, counseling, and conflict resolution skills. Capacity to understand people issues and their impact on the business. Demonstrate integrity in all business interactions and honor personal commitments. Ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks of varying complexity and priority. Highly analytical, process oriented, collaborative, and creative. Strong desire to share knowledge, answer questions and help others at all levels. Intrinsically motivated (does not require constant support/supervision). Ability to provide both verbal and written information clearly and succinctly. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to type and look at a computer screen for long periods of the day.
