US Citizenship and the ability to pass and maintain a Federal government (Public Trust) clearance is required for this position. While primarily remote, this role may require occasional on-site work. The selected candidate must live within commuting distance of Washington, D.C. RESPONSIBILITIES: Assess and transition applications' operations and maintenance requirement in concert with the client With minimal supervision, leads and directs requirements gathering, backlog grooming and estimation, and product roadmapping in conjunction with the Federal Product Owner Act as liaison between customers, stakeholders, and development teams Conducts team meetings to create, organize, and maintain user stories, epics, the product backlog, and the product roadmap Leads the definition and discovery of needs in partnership with the Product Owner to create consensus on the correct application solution to address them and achieve team objectives Guides and mentors the Developers and QA team to ensure they are in alignment on acceptance criteria, context, specific logic, and other details of user stories Update and maintain agile tracking systems (Jira) to provide transparency on Product & Sprint BacklogLead all Product Management activities, including updates to each sprint on the development roadmap based on the Product Owner's feedback and preparation for sprint activities (e.g. review of user stories) Organize and facilitate daily stand-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos, and other Scrum-related meetings REQUIRED SKILLS: At least 5 years of experience serving as a business analyst on software development projects Strong written and verbal communication skills that translate well into requirements baselines that both technical experts and business owners can understand Proven ability to provide detailed, comprehensive, testable and traceable process components in a number of formats including, but not limited to Business Requirements, Functional Requirements, Data Requirements, System Software Specifications, Use Cases, etc. Demonstrated experience leading requirements gathering sessions, analyzing business flows, and documenting user needs Demonstrated ability to develop a deep understanding of product needs through product management and business analysis techniques Understand Agile software development methodologies, values, and procedures PREFERRED SKILLS: Documentation and toolsets (e.g. JIRA) expertise EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is a job requirement.
