Matern Professional Engineering is looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer at our Maitland (Orlando), FL office to focus on sustainability, high-performance buildings and energy efficient systems. Ideal candidate will have 5+ years in designing/assessing HVAC systems (including energy auditing and modeling, life-cycle cost analysis, proficiency in the IESVE software platform and related experience), will be able to coordinate sustainability information between disciplines, be able to write/review proposals and cost estimates, and have a thorough knowledge of Florida building codes and sustainability concepts. Requires BSME, with FL PE preferred. Requires demonstrable Project Management skills and excellent oral and written communication skills. Requires thorough understanding of renewable energy technologies and policies. Also requires a strong proficiency with REVIT/Autocad and energy modeling software. Candidate must be able to pass background checks under the Jessica Lunsford Act to be able to visit school sites and FBI for government buildings.
