FWDthink is seeking an experienced Network Administrator with a strong technical background and the ability to get up to speed quickly and contribute to support of AFNCR (Air Force National Capital Region). Qualified candidates must possess a strong understanding and in-depth knowledge of TCP/IP network and subnet addressing and experience with managing Taclanes Full-Time & On-Site at JBA Primary Responsibilities Assures that all network operations are operational, and all engineering solutions are implemented successfully network solutions from network design through implementation, maintenance, and upgrading of existing networks; Analyzes design, specifications, and related documents; Must have demonstrated experience identifying, developing, and implementing engineering change solutions and new technology and solutions on a large enterprise national scale Demonstrated ability to work in a customer environment collaboratively through constraints to meet mission milestones. Excellent written and oral communications skills and management to include presentation and experience discussing technology 7+ experience with configuring switches, routers, network appliances 7+ experience with troubleshooting complex routing and switching issues 7+ experience with DoD Cybersecurity requirements and implementation of security controls (STIG Compliance) and experience with Cisco ISE and port security Experience with Crypto Configuration and encryption devices Experience with Network Management Applications such as Cisco Prime, Cisco ISE, SolarWinds NCM, SolarWinds IPAM Experience with Hardware/IOS: F5 load balancers, Cisco Routers, Cisco Switches, Cisco IOS, Cisco NX-OS, Aruba Wireless Experience with the following Routing Protocols and Technologies: EIGRP, HSRP, OSPF, and VRRP Required Qualifications Active DoD Secret Security Clearance or higher Required Minimum seven (7) years' experience as a Network Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) additional years of experience in Network Engineering disciplines may be substituted for a bachelor's degree. DoD IAT Level II (e.g., Sec+ or CCNA Security) Certification Required Network Vendor Associate Level Certification (e.g. Cisco CCNA, Juniper JNCIA, etc.) Required Shift Hours: Day-Shift; core support hours are 0600 -1800. This is a 24/7/365 support environment; off-hours response/support may be required. On-Site: Joint-Base Andrews (JBA)
