Description:
GNC (Guidance, Navigation and Control) Engineer Essential Functions: Design and develop guidance, navigation, and control systems for aerospace and defense projects Conduct simulations and tests to ensure that systems meet performance and reliability requirements Analyze, organize, and interpret test data to troubleshoot system performance issues Collaborate with other engineers and team members to ensure that systems integrate effectively with other subsystems Participate in design reviews and technical meetings to provide expertise and guidance on guidance, navigation, and control systems Develop and maintain system documentation, including requirements, design, and test documents Stay up-to-date on industry developments and advancements in guidance, navigation, and control technologies Other duties as assigned Qualifications and Education: Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field 0-3 years of experience in guidance, navigation, and control system design and development Experience with MATLAB/Simulink or similar software for modeling and simulation Knowledge of aerospace and defense industry standards and regulations Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment Ability to obtain/maintain a TS/SCI DoD clearance, U.S. Citizenship required AEVEX provides a full suite of comprehensive benefits, including a 401(k)-retirement plan, comprehensive Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability and Life insurance group coverage with a portion of the premiums paid by the company, professional development funds, and an Employee Assistance Plan (EAP) with counseling, legal help, child and elder care support, among other benefits.
