Job Summary As an Operational Data Support Systems Engineer on our team, you will provide systems engineering support to the customer Senior Operations Data Office (SODO) and will assist in executing Data Governance, Data Extension & Reduction Process (DERP) Requests, Data Characterization and Tagging Support, Data Management Requests (DMRs), Historical Data Migration (HDM), and Corporate Warehouse governance and support activities within the SODO office. Responsibilities include supporting the following: Operational Data Governance support - Assist in the coordination, development and documentation of Data governance processes and procedures. Assist with identification of metrics to assist with data governance decisions. DERP, Data Characterization and Tagging Support, and DMRs - Assist with the Review, Coordination, Validation and Tracking of new data tags, DERP requests, and DMR status. HDM activities support - assist with overseeing mission requirements for Transition and Decommissioning Systems and datasets. Corporate Warehouse governance and support - Coordinate and track operational efficiencies. Create and maintain schedules of needed actions and recommended courses of action. Excellent interpersonal skills and diplomacy. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Experience in integrations with corporate repositories Understanding of operational data, data ingest, and dataflow processes to validate and track processing and governance. Understanding of front-end processing, analytic and storage infrastructure, and data queries. Familiarity with various HDM capabilities and methodologies. Qualified candidates must hold an ACTIVE TS//SCI with poly . Primary Responsibilities Applies systems engineering principles throughout the systems life cycle phases: Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and Retirement. Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues, or conflicts. Communicates with program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives. Basic Qualifications Perform systems engineering activities and assist in the preparation of a work product in Technical Process Areas associated with the ISO/IEC 15288. Assist in the preparation of multiple work products in Projects and Technical Process Areas associated with ISO/IEC 15288. Develop and deliver a work product in any of the ISO/IEC 15288 Process Areas. Perform analysis of technical alternatives for a project and make preliminary recommendations. Assist in performing SE activities in the ISO/IEC 15288 Agreement or Enterprise Process Areas. Independently analyze and recommend alternatives for elements of project's technical design. Education Requirements A Bachelor's degree in Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus six (6) years of SE experience; or A High School Diploma / GED, plus ten (10) years of general system engineering experience; or A Master's degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or related discipline plus four (4) years of SE experience. Desired Competencies DoD Architectural Framework (DoDAF) or Federal Enterprise Architectural Framework (FEAF).
