YOUR ROLE AS PREVENT CHILD ABUSE KANSAS ASSISTANT DIRECTOR As our Prevent Child Abuse Kansas Assistant Director, you make a significant difference in the lives of families and children. Each day, you act as the leader of several statewide initiatives related to child abuse prevention and provide strategic leadership and direction to a variety of important programs. From overseeing the 1-800-CHILDREN 24/7 Parent Helpline to coordinating the annual Parent Leadership Conference and more, your work touches countless lives. As the person who oversees grant writing and implementation, you work with your team to ensure that all the programs under your supervision are operating effectively. In addition, you represent KCSL in statewide and local task forces where you collaborate with other passionate individuals who share your commitment to preventing child abuse and promoting healthy families. As you work with both children and parents to develop skills for success, you find your job meaningful and engaging. You couldn't ask for a more fulfilling way to spend your day! QUALIFICATIONS FOR OUR PREVENT CHILD ABUSE KANSAS ASSISTANT DIRECTOR Bachelor's degree in human services, social work, or a related field 3+ years of experience leading a human services program Experience with grant writing, implementation, and management Experience providing technical assistance and training to a variety of audiences Proficiency with MS Word and Excel Willingness to travel Are you a self-starter? Do you have excellent communication skills, including grant writing and public speaking? Can you lead and inspire others? Are you self-motivated and independent?
