To learn more about our culture and other career opportunities, visit Proservice.com/career Role Overview The purpose of the Voluntary Benefits Consultant is to provide world-class service to our clients and employees through showcasing voluntary benefits expertise. This individual will be directly responsible for the accuracy and timely administration of voluntary benefit programs including 401(k), flexible spending/dependent care accounts, and other Section 125 benefits in addition to client billing. This role serves as the main point of contact for all voluntary benefits related tasks and inquiries. Responsibilities & Outcomes Customer Service . Provides best-in-class service to our clients and worksite employees through interactions over the phone, via email and in person. Ensures that all interactions are professional, courteous, and positive experiences. Serves as subject matter expert for all voluntary benefits inquiries. Benefits Processing. Showcases expertise by monitoring a high volume of incoming requests from incoming calls, emails, and internal escalations. Reviews, approves, and processes 401(k) distribution, loan and rollover requests. Manages enrollment process for life insurance and accidental death & dismemberment claims for worksite employees and beneficiaries. Audits work for accuracy and appropriate billing. Benefit Audits and Reconciliations. Audits voluntary benefits deductions for new clients, and completed monthly reconciliation of benefits. Owns documentation and resolutions of billing discrepancies to ensure accuracy and accountability of vendor partners. Manages the weekly remittance of employee 401(k) deferrals to vendor partners in a timely manner. Open Enrollment. Plays a key role in delivering a successful voluntary benefits open enrollment. Partners with vendors to ensure timely and accurate benefit elections are received and processed. Audit new elections to ensure compliance in all voluntary programs. Qualifications & Requirements: Experience 3+ years of customer service experience in a fast paced environment is required. Prior experience in benefits or HR is preferred Team Player. Comfortable reaching out to peers to tear down walls or remove roadblocks; approachable. Judgement/Decision Making. Demonstrate consistent logic, rationality, and objectivity in decision-making. Achieve balance between quick decisiveness and slower more thorough approaches. Customer Focus. Able to independently research and resolve benefits related issues using available resources, and escalating appropriately.
