We are seeking the ideal candidate for our Clerical Assistant opening for our company located in Bedford Park, just a mile south of Midway Airport! DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Answer phone calls and direct calls to appropriate parties or take messages. Open, sort, and distribute incoming correspondence, including mail, faxes and email. Perform general office duties, such as ordering supplies, filing, scanning/indexing, data entry. Maintain inventory of hard files within Claims, Underwriting and storage. Serve as a back-up, when needed, to reception and other various clerical roles. Provide clerical support to other departments. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: High S chool education or equivalent Prior customer service experience Excellent phone communication skills Good organizational and interpersonal skills Good typing/data entry skills (min. 30 wpm) Good PC skills Preferred: Insurance experience First Chicago Insurance Company provides a competitive benefits package to all full-time employees.
