This position is hybrid and has work from home flexibility. Position Summary: The Senior Legal Recruiting Manager is responsible for supporting the Firm's Chief Talent Officer (CTO) in managing the searches for Senior Associates, Of Counsel and Salaried Partners. In addition, this individual champions best practices in legal talent acquisition and drives strategic growth and retention efforts firmwide. Essential Functions: 1. Conducts senior Associate attorney, Of Counsel, and non-equity Partner searches for all practice groups across all office locations. 2. Actively engages with Practice Group Leaders to understand the ongoing practice needs and requirements for attorney hires within their respective areas. 3. Manages the interview, selection and offer process for all candidates, ensuring a positive experience for each candidate and team member participating in the interview process. 4. Maintains regular communication with all involved in the recruiting process to maintain momentum, provide visibility and to ensure timely turnaround time with the candidate selection process. 5. Compiles job posting language and position specifics, sets the search tactics and recruiting strategy, and engages appropriate recruiting partners when necessary. 6. Works closely with CTO and DEI Committees to push DEI goals forward related to recruiting and hiring. 7. Identifies and leverages technology tools to enhance the effectiveness of lateral recruiting efforts, including robust use of viRecruit 8. Maintains knowledge of industry best practices impacting compliance, policy, and the recruitment and retention of attorneys by establishing contacts in the legal industry (e.g., professional associations and educational groups, and professional development efforts). 9. Regularly reviews our recruiting processes and recommends ways to enhance/better our recruiting function to ensure a positive experience for every candidate, for our interview team, and in support of successful hiring decisions. 10. Identifies ways to be proactive in the lateral market regardless of our hiring status to maintain a pulse on the talent in each of our geographical markets and create a pipeline of future talent. 11. Manages content on Careers page of the Firm's website. 12. Works closely with CTO, IT and others to identify ways to use technology to recruit top talent and brand Benesch as an employer of choice. 13. Works closely with the Marketing Department to share content on Firm social media sites regularly. 14. Works closely with Marketing Department to maintain recruiting materials. 15. Sends periodic communications firm-wide regarding current openings. Additional Responsibilities: 1. Assist with special projects as needed. 2. Perform other duties as assigned. Such documents and information must be kept confidential at all times. Qualifications: The Senior Legal Recruiting Manager must have a Bachelor's Degree. Experience in a law firm environment required; 8-10 years of recruiting experience required. An ability to communicate effectively and efficiently, along with strong organizational skills and a client service attitude are required. Must possess a strong desire to learn and be part of a team, have an interest in technology, and be social media savvy. Ability to travel as needed and work evenings/weekends periodically required.
