WATER RESOURCE ENGINEER Water Resource Engineer is a role that includes analysis, design and management of a wide variety of water resources projects This team member actively contributes to projects that involve hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, storm water management, flood control, pump systems, water supply and wastewater conveyance. WHY YOU'D LOVE THIS JOB You enjoy a position that allows you flexibility to design and build solutions for clients that impact communitiesYou can engage with team members in challenging projectsYou like the responsibility that comes from working with a team of business professionals in a fast-paced environmentYou are driven by integrity, quality, and industry-leading strategiesYou seek opportunities that achieve triple bottom line results for both clients and the companyYou value a fun working environment that helps you succeed WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE You have a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering with North Dakota PE registration (or the ability to obtain registration within 12 months) You are building on 3 or more years of successful design and consulting experience within the water resources areaYou have technical skills and experience using HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, XPSWMM, or other hydrologic and hydraulic modeling resourcesYou have knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, open channel and pipe flow, lake and stream water quality issues, and earthwork and grading plansYou have successfully worked in teams and have outstanding listening and communication skills JOB RESPONSIBILITIES You regularly design storm water detention facilities, storm drains, flood control facilities, or other hydraulic structuresYou develop watershed master plans and flood mitigation studiesYou analyze storm water or floodplain drainage systems to control erosion, stabilize river banks, and repair channel streamsYou design water or wastewater lift stations, including water wellsYou prepare environmental documentation for regulatory program complianceYou interface with various entities ranging from FEMA and USACE to local governmentYou perform predesign services, such as feasibility or environmental impact studiesYou create and follow design specifications, plans, maps, project schedules, and budgetsYou live the Ackerman-Estvold values (Family, Fun, Community, Quality, Forward-Thinking, Integrity, and Clients) in a way that adds to our culture and organizational "mojo" A BIT MORE INFORMATION This position is located in our Minot office; however occasional travel to other locations and business conferences may need to be penciled inMust love flexible working hours and free coffeeMust love Fun Shirt Fridays, Potlucks, Birthday Celebrations, and Community InvolvementIf you feel you meet these qualifications and work well in a fast-paced team environment, apply today!water resource, civil, engineer, hydraulic modeling, stormwater, storm water, minot, environmental
