Do you enjoy people? Are you organized? Like administrative and payroll responsibilities? Do you want to be an HR assistant? The Human Resources Assistant performs essential functions for the organization, which include assisting the Human Resource Director in activities relating to personnel rules and regulations, payroll, HR office duties, workers' compensation, benefits, and salary administration. This position requires at least 6 months of Human Resource experience. The successful candidate must possess strong customer service and organizational skills. You must be able to multi-task to keep pace with our multiple location company. Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * managing telephone and correspondence for the HR Department * processing weekly payroll and running payroll reports * maintaining records, files, and databases, and providing internal communication and information distribution, when needed * requires administration knowledge, skill in MS Office, superior customer service and exhibiting a professional attitude to internal customers * the ability to maintain confidentiality is a requirement * scanning and maintaining accurate and secure electronic files *communication with branch managers and staff by telephone, email, in writing or in person to obtain information *performing additional duties as assigned by HRD Requirements include: *Computer usage is a required function of this position *Prompt and reliable attendance is required *Ability to maintain confidentiality, demonstrate attention to detail, and a professional attitude *Payroll experience or desire to learn payroll processing *Ability to work independently, self-motivated, and meet manager goals *Ability to communicate professionally with coworkers, customers, and vendors *Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage daily activities to ensure timely and accurate results *Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, data entry, file and record management, and other office procedures *Skill in oral and written communication *Skill in active listening - providing full attention to instructions, asking questions when needed, and understanding and following procedures Position Requirements: A minimum of 6 months of experience in Human Resources is desired The ability to successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screening is required.
