DevSecOps Engineer

CFD Research has an immediate need for qualified DevSecOps Engineer to support an intelligence customer in developing and integrating applications and microservices using data, both locally stored as well as in the cloud. This role is based in the Dayton, Ohio area, and is 100% on Customer's site at (National Air and Space Intelligence Center). Candidates in the role will work with a diverse set of engineers, to deliver strong, stable, and well tested/documented software for the intelligence community. The candidate will be intimately involved in the development, security, and operations process. Successful candidates in this role will utilize best practices to produce high performing, scalable, and secure modules while demonstrating a customer/end user focus. Candidate will have the opportunity to shape future tasks developing user stories and tasks from Epics. Successful candidates will have Agile, DevOps experience, and an understanding of cloud environments to work collaboratively with other developers, government customers, and contractors. Requirements: Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess an Active Top Secret security clearance. Ability to collaborate and communicate with teammates and stakeholders from a technical and mission impact standpoint Drive to solve technical problems, ask for help, and take initiative as needed to deliver value to stakeholders Life-long learner mindset Candidate must possess a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a similar STEM discipline Relevant industry certifications are desired but not required Certified Kubernetes Administrator, CISSP, CCSP, Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker, and any other cloud relevant certifications Experience with one or more of the following: Kubernetes, Istio, Helm, Git, Linux, Python, or Bash Three or more years of experience in development and/or hands-on technical troubleshooting support of container-based microservices architectures Desired Qualifications: Familiarity, understanding, and adaptability to following agile project processes. Past successes in development, deployment, and maintenance of cloud-based platform solutions. Three or more years of experience as a Software Engineer specializing in DevSecOps and/or Platform Engineering. Experience with Amazon EC2/C2S and VMWare Tanzu platforms.
