VSC's Wireless Services division in Roanoke is a seeking candidates for a Wireless Technician Assistant position. What we offer: Competitive salary - overtime eligible Monday - Friday There will be times that there will be some unpredictable hours that could require a longer day or days and could possibly include weekends. Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays Health Savings Account (HSA) Life Insurance Employee Assistance Program Referral Bonuses What you will do: Assist in the installation of wiring and equipment for various telecommunication wireless systems. Aid in the installation of large battery bank backup power systems. Follow written and verbal instruction and willingness to work with others. Learn with an experienced team and grow with a dynamic company. (We like to promote from within!) What you need: Background in AC and or DC installations. (e.g. electrical helpers / journeymen, low voltage / data installers, telecommunications industry) Experience pulling wire and running conduit is preferred. Experience with fiber optic cables is a bonus. Experience with hand tools and basic power tools is required. Able to read and comprehend drawings Basic computer skills are required.
