Event Coordinator at Dorchester Paws The Event Coordinator is a key position at Dorchester Paws that is responsible for the development of relationships with vendors, the community, and local businesses to create fundraiser opportunities throughout the Lowcountry. The position works with the Director of Development. The position is a part-time non-exempt positi on. Primary Responsibilities Plan, execute, and attend all Dorchester Paws events Cultivate a percentage of sales fundraisers with businesses, including veterinarian offices, groomers, and other similar industry businesses Assist with the planning of the signature/major fundraisers Assists with planning for Pet Support Service Events and other programs as needed Curate annual calendar of events Develop partnerships within the community to increase fundraising goals Manage fundraising platforms to ensure all paperwork, statuses, and documentation are accurate Assist with marketing for events Establish and maintain effective professional relationships with coworkers, other organizations, and the community Work environment Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors. Must be able to work at a computer for extended periods of time. Must be able to stand, walk, and move for extended periods of time. Must be able to have reliable transportation to conduct all work in and out of the shelter in Summerville. This role requires flexibility and the ability to stand, lift, kneel, crouch, and bend. Qualifications Skilled in managing multiple tasks simultaneously and successfully. Excellent attention to detail. Must be self-guided individual requiring minimal supervision. A high level of professionalism, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to be a team player are required.
