The Human Resources Generalist is a fully remote, part-time position fulfilled by an individual who has a broad knowledge base of human resources functions from hiring to onboarding, compliance, laws/regulations including affirmative action, and a wide array of administrative experience. The Human Resources Generalist undertakes a wide range of HR tasks such as collaborating with the HR Manager on new programs and projects, assisting and supporting associates, managing confidential data across HR systems, drafting and managing policies, procedures and programs, maintaining personnel files, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, laws/regulations and generally ensuring the HR department is running smoothly. Location: Fully Remote Status: Hourly non-exempt, part-time Responsibilities: Develop and administer compliant, fair and effective policies, processes and procedures. Successfully use HR systems to include HRIS, ATS, and PEO systems. Maintain, handle, and update confidential associate and company data with accuracy, discretion and integrity. Provide exceptional customer (associate/employee) service and build trustful, positive business relationships with associates, business partners, vendors, etc. Provide HR-related guidance and support to SummitET associates and leadership and resolve issues that may arise; escalating to HR Manager as necessary or required. Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations at the federal and multi-state level. Conduct onboarding for new hires, and coordinate with various company departments/functions to ensure successful onboarding. Organize and promote HR programs and processes. Participate and/or perform investigations. Manage HR processes and procedures to ensure procedures are followed and identify concerns/issues/improvements for resolution. Maintain documents, forms, handbooks, job descriptions, organizational charts, employee directory, etc. Participate in process, program and procedure improvement with HR Manager. In coordination with vendors, conducts and manages open enrollment process. Perform recruitment efforts to include job postings, applicant reviews/communications, interviews, etc. Create and deliver information sessions/presentations to various levels of the organization. Other duties and responsibilities as requested and/or assigned. Requirements: A professional level of fluency in Microsoft Office suite of applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, OneNote, Teams) Excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent communication and people skills Working knowledge of federal and state employment/labor laws Proven understanding of general human resources practices, policies and procedures Experience with ApplicantPro, BambooHR, ADP Totalsource; and/or similar systems Ability to successfully work remotely and report to fully remote teams Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision Education and Experience Requirements: A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field 5+ years of HR experience considered in lieu of degree requirement 3+ years of HR experience 2+ years of HR experience within federal government contracting organization(s) preferred, including experience with Affirmative Action Plans and requirements (AAP) A current HR certification, (PHR or SHRM-CP), preferred *Any offer of employment with Summit Exercises and Training is contingent upon successfully completing and passing a background check and drug screening.
