Join the CTCU Team! Community Trust Credit Union (CTCU) is looking for a Mortgage Loan Officer / Mortgage Loan Originator . This role is r esponsible for helping our membership with their mortgage needs. They are responsible for completing the loan application and gathering all the necessary information and documentation required for a loan decision to be made. What you will do: Field inbound loan inquiries and discuss mortgage options with members. Originate loans and work with Loan Coordinator to process and close the loan. Execute mortgage lending operations for the credit union. Perform other job related duties as assigned. Business development activities in the form of community involvement, Realtor outreach, etc. What we are looking for: Experience in mortgage loan origination, at least one to two years of recent similar or related experience. Candidate must have recent, strong knowledge of mortgage. Must be able to secure and maintain NMLS certification. Full understanding of all types of mortgages. Must have in-depth understanding of and ability to interpret regulations affecting lending programs. Extensive knowledge of real estate lending practices and procedures. Should be able to run spreadsheet and word processing software. Knowledge of FICS and Mortgagebot is a plus. Proven success in sales. No fear of being on the phone and/or follow up communication. Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and meet deadlines. This is an in-person role, located in Gurnee, IL. Regular work hours are Monday through Friday. CTCU is the place for you!
