I am currently working with a well established law firm and they are currently seeking an experienced Family Lawyer to assume the role of Head of.I am currently working with a well established law firm and they are currently seeking an experienced Family Lawyer to assume the role of Head of the Family Department and Legal Aid Supervisor. This role involves overseeing both legally aided and privately funded cases, offering a unique opportunity for a seasoned professional to contribute to the growth and success of their established practice. Role and Responsibilities: - Manage a team of dedicated fee earners and support staff, overseeing a diverse range of family law and child care law matters, including divorce, financial agreements, domestic violence, care proceedings, special guardianship, and child arrangement orders. - Conduct legal research and prepare relevant documentation such as legal correspondence, court applications, bundles, statements, and briefs to counsel. - Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, counsel, and court personnel. - Maintain accurate and organized case files and documents. - Stay updated on changes and developments in family law and child care law practice and procedures. Person Requirements: - Experienced and skilled Solicitor or Legal Executive with a minimum of 3 years PQE. - Member of the Law Societys Family Law or Children Law Accreditation Scheme or a Resolution Accredited Specialist. - Ability to independently manage a caseload from start to finish with a proven track record of providing legal advice and assistance in family law and child care law matters. - Proficient in conducting advocacy in both the Magistrates Court and County Court. - Willingness to actively market and seek out new instructions to expand and develop the existing department. - Experience using a case management system and practical knowledge of IT systems, including MS Word and Excel. - Excellent verbal and written.
