General Accountabilities: Under the direction of the Forestry Zone Manager, be responsible for all Transmission and Distribution work assigned. Monitor work performance of all assigned staff in areas such as quality, quantity of work, time efficiency and conduct. Supervise and coordinate activities of all levels of staff in Forestry Services. Administer policies, procedures, applicable legislation and the collective agreement as required. backss, plan, estimate, & follow budget of all assigned work. Provide necessary reports on select activities. Available to respond to emergency response initiatives to meet service level agreements Assist in maintaining a high level of public and employee relations. Ensure all staff are adequately trained. Set up annual yearly core training. Liaise with the public. Implement annual safety program using material as applicable to meet local needs. Provide a safe/healthy work environment for any forestry services work performed by team. Provide subordinates with appropriate knowledge, skills, information, word procedures and equipment to ensure safety and well-being of all staff. Monitor work in progress and take or authorize corrective action where necessary. Administer and monitor outside forestry resources (contractor). Ensure that new work methods are effectively introduced. Ensure appropriate tools and T&WE are available and maintained. Visit ListedBuy for more information.
