The Service This Homeless Support Worker role is based in a housing service in Stoke, which provides housing related independent living support to service users who are either homeless, or at risk of homelessness, supporting them in daily tasks and prompting them to live as independently as possible with a view to moving on to fully independent living. The role will be working across services in the ST3, ST4 and ST6 post code areas. The Role The focus of this Homeless Support Worker role is to working and engaging with the service users assisting them with daily tasks, life skills, and fostering independence. You will be working with service users on a 2 to 1 basis, with another Homeless Support Worker and the role will include the following tasks and responsibilities: Maximising access to benefits and sustaining tenancies Working with third-parties to ensure adequate support is provided Assist with daily living skills, activities, and routines to promote independence. Engage with other clients in the property, providing support and encouragement. Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all residents.
