Noise and Nuisance Officer Southwark, London Temporary Full Time We are searching for a prospective Noise and Nuisance Officer to join a team based in Southwark on a full time, temporary basis. The Noise and Nuisance Officer will provide a regulatory service that is responsible for protecting the community, by using the relevant legislation to control and enforce, working with tenants, residents, and the local community. The role involves identifying, investigating and effectively dealing with breaches of legislation investigating complaints, maintaining appropriate records, and overall providing excellent customer service in all areas. Please note a full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle is required for this role. Requirements The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience: Experience within a similar role Knowledge of appropriate legislation, including Statutory Noise Nuisance, and relevant environmental health legislation and criminal law Ability to take responsibility for own safety and create a safe working environment Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to work positively within their own team and the wider team Ability to use initiative when operating alone and works well under pressure Knowledge of IT processes, including Word and Excel Full UK Driving License and access to vehicle Role Expectations Identify, investigate and effectively deal with breaches of legislation Manage nuisance cases, including supporting complaints, completing risk backssments, investigating allegations, and taking appropriate action to resolve issues Conduct interviews with complainants, witnesses, and alleged perpetrators Take appropriate action, including verbal advice or warnings, notices, seizures and other legal action.
