Health and Safety Manager / H&S Manager Newton Abbott £competitive + Excellent Benefits This is an excellent opportunity to join an established and successful award-winning manufacturer of FMCG products in a Health and Safety Manager role. The successful candidate will need to be organised, an excellent communicator and able to demonstrate their ability as a proficient health and safety manager to develop and promote a compliant health and safety culture across the business. Proven experience in health and safety in a similar manufacturing environment will be beneficial. Health and Safety Manager Role responsibilities: ·Ensuring the Company meets its statutory obligations in all areas of Health & Safety including fire safety, risk backssments, safe systems of work, training & monitoring ·To be instrumental in continuous improvement of company Health & Safety procedures and management. ·Implement a Health & Safety Committee at both sites; chair regular meetings & manage administration of meeting minutes & action points ·Investigate all accidents & near misses ·Responsible for ensuring annual risk backssment reviews are carried out & required actions completed ·Ensure the completion and regular review of risk backssments for all work equipment and operations for both staff & contractors ·Maintain a rolling program of review & update of Health & Safety procedure instructions across all departments at 2 sites ·Regular reporting to the Directors & Senior Management team on HS issues, progress, improvements and KPIs. ·Responsible for the management of fire safety at both sites; responsible for ensuring weekly/monthly fire safety equipment checks are carried out and taking the lead in an emergency situation Health and Safety Manager / HSE Experience/Skills required ·Health & Safety experience gained whilst working in a manufacturing / Production environment ·Experienced in health and safety risk backssments ·Experience with interpretation of full HSE.
