Job Description Aramark is hiring a skilled Sous Chef to provide culinary services to a private school in Toronto. The Sous Chef will ignite creative flare to the menu design. This is either a Sunday – Thursday DAY Shift or a Monday - Friday DAY Shift providing for a quality work-life balance! We know that a Chef’s job isn’t only about the food. You’ll take a hands-on approach in focusing on culinary expertise, safety protocols, and client satisfaction. Job Responsibilities • Works collaboratively with management in the creation of new menu items • Responsible for the preparation and delivery snacks and lunch from Monday – Friday • Assists with catering events and execution and delivery of selected menu options • Considers dietary restrictions and nutritional balance in meal and snack preparation • Ensures culinary production appropriately connects to the Executional Framework • Prepare recipes and standardize production recipes for consistent quality • Establish presentation technique and quality standards, plan and price menus • Ensure proper equipment operation, maintenance and safety and sanitation in kitchen At Aramark, developing new skills and doing what it takes to get the job done make a positive impact for our employees and for our customers. Qualifications • Requires 2-3 years culinary experience in a related role • Requires 2-3 years of post-secondary education or equivalent experience • Red Seal certification or culinary degree is required • Requires knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession.
